The mobile scanners of the PowerScan8300 family offer the same professional and robust characteristics as the wired versions. The extremely durable housing is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic and is designed for constant use in industry and retail. As a battery-powered model it still offers particularly long operating times. It can perform over 60,000 scans per charge and has a short charging period of only two hours, making it suitable for all applications in production and logistics. In order to make barcode scanning possible even under very noisy conditions, the scanner is equipped with a clearly audible beeper with adjustable volume, extra-bright LEDs and a targeting spot for easy scans.
It is a high-resolution laser scanner with a large read distance and a fast microprocessor for all common one-dimensional barcodes. The scanners of the PowerScan M83xx series submit all data in the licence-free 433MHz frequency range, with bidirectional communication between scanner and host.
A maximum of 2,000 devices can be used on the same frequency concurrently – a number that is usually unattainable. In the network, every base station manages a maximum of 32 devices concurrently. As a result, the Datalogic wireless system is a powerful and flexible solution for simple applications as well as for complex projects.
Its robust mechanics were developed and tested in such a way that the scanner can even resist extreme impacts (such as ten drops from 2 m height in tests), as well as constant normal impacts (1,000 drops from 1 m height) without impairing scanning performance.
In order to increase mobile scanning efficiency even further, there are versions available with an integrated 32 x 98 pixel display and a keypad with three keys, which can be used for active host communication and for receiving additional information (such as human-readable article descriptions), or directly display the scanned barcodes.
